Cranbourne Northern Mornington Peninsula The Royal Botanic Gardens Cranbourne is the ancestral home of the Mayone-Bulluk clan of the Boonerwurung people. The award winning 'Australian Garden' is where visitors can immerse themselves in Australian flora, landscapes, art and architecture. This amazing new garden features a gallery of exhibition gardens, sculpture and displays - all highlighting the beauty and diversity of our Australian landscape and featuring approximately 100,000 plants, including 1,000 trees, in 15 different landscape displays and exhibition gardens. Visitors can learn about how to use Australian plants at home, by talking to one of our Volunteer Master Gardeners, or by joining a tour with one of our knowledgeable guides. At the Boonerwurrung Café visitors can enjoy delicious snacks and meals, while taking in the views of the Australian Garden. Open 9am–5pm daily except Christmas Day and days of Total Fire Ban* (The bushland at Cranbourne is closed on days of total fire ban and on days of extreme fire danger, however the Australian Garden remains open on these days.) |
